Role Summary
Senior field-facing engineer responsible for leading complex customer engagements for Memory Interface PHY and Controller IP (HBM, DDR, LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, UCIe). The role focuses on silicon bring-up, lab debug, technical problem resolution, and serving as the technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 10+ years of industry experience.
Responsibilities
Own technical customer engagements from integration through deployment and provide field-driven input to product and engineering teams.
- Lead integration, silicon bring-up, debug, and deployment of Memory Interface PHY and Controller IP.
- Drive technical resolution of complex customer issues across design and system environments.
- Act as the primary interface between customers and internal engineering to align on requirements and accelerate adoption.
- Deliver technical presentations, training, and enablement materials for customers and internal teams.
- Create and improve documentation and collateral to increase product usability and scalability.
- Provide field feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product direction and quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of memory and interface protocols and support global customer engagements; travel up to 15–20% as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- 10+ years of industry experience with Memory Interface or Interface IP (experience with DDR, LPDDR, HBM, PCIe, Ethernet, UCIe is common).
- Proven customer-facing applications engineering, technical support, or deployment experience for complex IP solutions.
- Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, lab debug, and post-silicon problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of Controller IPs, AMBA bus interfaces (AXI), backend engineering, and ASIC design flows.
- Proficiency with Linux, Verilog and/or VHDL, and typical ASIC development environments and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and customer interactions.
- Nice-to-have: deep protocol-level experience with DDR5/LPDDR6, HBM4, MRDIMM2, and high-speed interface debugging at system level.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is preferred, ideally with a VLSI focus; equivalent practical experience is commonly acceptable.
