Job Title

Applications Engineer — Interface Logic

Role Summary

Provide application support for high-speed amplifiers on the Interface Logic team. Support customers through design-in, debugging, evaluation, and post-ramp application support while collaborating with systems and product engineers.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 3 years of relevant experience supporting analog products and performing hardware/software debugging.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer support, product validation, and creation of evaluation hardware and documentation.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and support design-in activities via email and forums.
  • Review customer schematics and PCB layouts and debug issues on evaluation or customer boards.
  • Perform on-site customer support as required.
  • Design, build, and release evaluation modules (EVMs) and internal test boards for correlation and evaluation.
  • Create user guides, test procedures, application notes, and reference designs.
  • Perform bench characterization and test automation for high-speed amplifier devices; develop test techniques.
  • Participate in datasheet reviews and new-silicon testing from an application perspective, including robustness testing.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to support early design-in activities for new products.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in applications support for analog products.
  • Strong hardware and software debugging skills.
  • Experience with bench characterization and test automation for analog/high-speed devices.
  • Ability to produce clear, high-quality technical documentation (user guides, test procedures, application notes).
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing EVMs and reference designs.
  • Experience establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes and drive projects to on-time delivery.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or a related technical field (Bachelor's degree specified in posting).
