Role Summary

Customer-facing technical role on the Siemens EDA Custom IC field team focused on driving adoption of CIC design and simulation software, with emphasis on Solido variation-aware products.

The role supports pre-sale and post-sale activities, collaborates with account teams and R&D, and manages multiple customer engagements to achieve technical and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical sales support, customer enablement, and cross-functional feedback to product teams.

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support: assess customer requirements, prepare specifications, and install/customize solutions.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and benchmark evaluations.
• Run customer evaluations and drive product adoption, including on-site support when required.
• Work with account teams and sales management on account planning and opportunity qualification.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product management to relay field feedback and define product needs.
• Establish and maintain technical communication with customer design engineering and management.
• Travel to customer sites as required (minimum ~25%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and customer-facing competencies; preferred items listed separately.

• Broad understanding of analog design methodologies and flows (SPICE, fast-spice, mixed-signal/mixed-mode analyses).
• Ability to map simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements and perform benchmark evaluations.
• Experience with IC schematic/layout tools (examples: Pyxis / S-Edit, L-Edit, Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler).
• Experience with analog simulators (Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo & AFS) and mixed-signal simulation tools (e.g., Cadence AMS Designer).
• Working familiarity with Unix/Linux and experience with scripting or C programming.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and communicate technical material effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple customer engagements concurrently.
• Willingness and ability to travel (at least 25%).
• Nice-to-have: exposure to sales/applications environment, experience with Solido products, and prior team/organization management or leading technical sales teams.
