Role Summary

TI Analog Power Products is hiring an Applications Engineer based in Dallas to support customer adoption of battery gauging and power-related ICs. The role combines customer engagement, system-level technical support, and creation of reference designs and technical content.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on technical customer support, product adoption, and content that accelerates customer designs.

  • Engage with customers to understand system-level requirements and recommend TI battery gauging and power solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reference designs, application notes, and design guides.
  • Debug and characterize hardware at the board and system level to resolve customer design issues.
  • Collaborate with design, systems, and product marketing teams to influence product roadmaps based on customer feedback.
  • Evaluate competitive products and develop differentiated technical positioning.
  • Create and deliver technical demos, presentations, and training materials.
  • Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements across personal electronics, automotive, and industrial markets.

Requirements

Minimum practical skills and preferred additional capabilities.

  • Must-have: 1+ years of experience in applications engineering, field applications engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Must-have: Experience debugging and characterizing board- and system-level hardware.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with embedded systems and familiarity reading firmware written in C; experience with Python, C, or C++.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with analog power products (battery management, LDOs, power monitoring ICs) and PCB design/board bring-up.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers) and strong technical writing skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of key end-equipment markets (personal electronics, automotive, industrial) and ability to build customer and cross-functional relationships.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Bachelor's Degree required as listed in the posting).
