Role Summary

Customer-facing Applications Engineer for Siemens EDA Custom IC (CIC) tools, with emphasis on Solido products for variation-aware design and characterization. Responsible for driving customer adoption through technical pre-sales and post-sales support, demonstrations, evaluations, and account collaboration.

The role manages multiple customer engagements, coordinates with sales, marketing and R&D, and requires travel to customer sites (at least 25%).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support, assess customer requirements, and prepare product specifications and customized solutions.
• Develop and deliver demonstrations, technical presentations, and benchmark evaluations to illustrate product value.
• Perform on-site support and troubleshooting for customers using Siemens EDA CIC products.
• Work with account teams and sales management to identify business opportunities and contribute to account planning.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product managers to relay field feedback and help define product requirements.
• Assist technical teams to establish product value and differentiate from competitors.
• Travel to customer sites (minimum ~25%).

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Broad understanding of analog design methodologies and analysis flows (SPICE, Fast-Spice, mixed-signal/mixed-mode).
• Experience mapping simulator capabilities to application requirements and using analog/mixed-signal simulators (e.g., Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo/AFS, Cadence AMS Designer).
• Familiarity with IC schematic and layout tools (e.g., Siemens EDA Pyxis/S-Edit, L-Edit; Cadence Virtuoso; Synopsys Custom Compiler).
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and experience with scripting or C programming.
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships in technical sales/support contexts.

Nice-to-have:

• Previous exposure to sales or applications environments.
