Role Summary

Lead technical owner for ASIC strategy and delivery, responsible for architecture definition through silicon bring-up. Work across hardware, software, systems, and external partners to translate requirements into production-ready silicon.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end ASIC projects and establish repeatable development methods.

• Define and establish ASIC development methodology across architecture, RTL, verification, implementation, and tape-out.
• Lead microarchitecture, RTL development, system integration, validation, and silicon bring-up.
• Drive technical trade-offs across performance, power, area, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate with external design houses, foundries, and manufacturing partners.
• Manage subsystem roadmaps and delivery schedules for commercial and advanced technology programs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor a small ASIC engineering team.
• Contribute to FPGA-based development and support migration from FPGA prototypes to production ASICs.

Requirements

Must-have technical background and proven delivery record.

• 10+ years of hardware design experience, with multiple full ASIC development cycles to tape-out and silicon validation.
• Proven experience transitioning FPGA designs into ASIC implementations.
• Strong RTL design skills, ideally SystemVerilog.
• Experience implementing complex DSP functions in hardware.
• Knowledge of ASIC development flows, semiconductor process technologies, and EDA toolchains.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA.
• Solid understanding of FPGA architectures, microprocessor integration, and digital system design.
• Nice-to-have: mixed-signal design experience.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (as stated). No mention of acceptable equivalent-experience language beyond the degree requirement in the source.
