Role Summary

As an Application Engineering Intern you will work with Cadence IC design and verification tools on practical digital design tasks. You will join the application engineering team, receive mentoring, and support customer-facing technical work.

This is a hands-on, full-time six-month internship focused on gaining practical experience in EDA tools and digital IC design workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Full-time, six-month placement; suitable for students or recent graduates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Use Cadence IC design and verification tools to support digital design activities.
• Analyze and help resolve real-world design challenges.
• Work alongside application engineers on customer-facing technical tasks.
• Participate in seminars, technical discussions, and project work within the business unit.
• Attend technical training and follow mentorship guidance.

Requirements

Essential and desirable attributes for success in this internship.

• Must-have: Interest in digital IC design and electronic design automation (EDA) tools; strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow technical guidance.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with digital design methodologies, previous use of IC design or verification tools, basic scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Tcl), or prior internship/lab experience.
