Role Summary
Lead the global Power MOSFET Application Engineering organisation, managing Product Definition Engineers and Customer Application Engineers. The role defines product requirements, drives technical product definition, and ensures high-quality customer engagement for Automotive and Industrial markets.
Experience Level
Senior — the role expects an experienced leader with significant semiconductor and people-management experience (see Requirements for details).
Responsibilities
Accountable for building and operating a high-performing, customer-focused engineering organisation and for defining and delivering the Power MOSFET product portfolio to meet customer and market needs.
- Lead, develop and coach global teams of Product Definition Engineers (PDE) and Customer Application Engineers (CAE).
- Define engineering priorities, allocate resources, and implement succession and talent development plans.
- Translate customer and market requirements into product specifications and drive products from concept to production release.
- Ensure new products meet performance, quality, manufacturability and cost targets.
- Lead technical engagement with strategic Automotive and Industrial customers, including design-in support and escalation management.
- Represent Application Engineering in cross-functional business reviews, product planning and strategic customer discussions.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, product definition methodology and customer support.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership experience for immediate impact.
- Must-have: 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience, with several years managing engineering teams.
- Must-have: Strong experience in Power MOSFETs, power semiconductors or related power-electronics technologies.
- Must-have: Experience working with Automotive and/or Industrial customers and managing strategic OEM/Tier‑1 relationships.
- Must-have: Proven record of leading cross-functional and international projects.
- Nice-to-have: Experience defining technical roadmaps and close collaboration with R&D, Product Management, Quality and Operations.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or a related technical discipline (specified in the source).
