Role Summary
Provide application engineering support for Applied Materials equipment at customer sites, focusing on recipe development, system performance optimization, technology qualification, and customer demos. Work with product and field teams to transfer new application capabilities into customer support.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Identify complex customer problems and manage implementation of solutions through completion.
- Lead creation and optimization of process recipes and train peer engineers in recipe development.
- Qualify new technologies and features; execute beta-sites, evaluations, and on-site demonstrations.
- Develop and transfer methodologies to improve system performance for specific applications.
- Participate in customer technical review meetings and follow up on solution execution.
- Provide informal guidance to newer team members.
- Travel to customer sites (approximately 10%).
Requirements
Must-have:
- Experience in application engineering or a similar role supporting semiconductor equipment.
- Proven ability to create and optimize process recipes and implement system-level methodologies.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and sound engineering judgment.
- Effective written and verbal communication to explain complex technical information to customers and internal teams.
- Ability and willingness to perform on-site customer work and travel (~10%).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience running beta sites, performing technology qualifications, and leading customer demos.
- Experience training or mentoring peer engineers.
