Role Summary

Support silicon device evaluation, test execution, and customer design-in for assigned products within the Manufacturing team in Edinburgh. Provide lab measurements, documentation, and cross-functional troubleshooting to enable product quality and ramp activities.

Experience Level

Entry-level — guidance: 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include evaluation, test development, and customer support.

• Perform silicon device evaluation at chip and board level; document results and identify issues or errata.
• Plan and execute evaluations for assigned products or features and develop evaluation collateral (reports, test setups).
• Contribute to development and maintenance of software for automated measurements under guidance.
• Follow and improve established evaluation methodologies and lab practices.
• Support customer design-in and ramp activities by assisting in resolution of application and device-related issues.
• Collaborate with Design, Test, Product, and Quality teams on issue investigation and resolution.

Requirements

Must-have skills and expectations.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in silicon evaluation or related lab work.
• Working knowledge of silicon evaluation techniques and laboratory practices.
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems using established methods and exercise judgment within defined procedures.
• Able to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively on complex investigations.
• Good analytical, verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Flexible to undertake occasional international travel if required.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., electrical, electronic, or similar technical field).
