Role Summary

Develop and debug video and audio applications on embedded systems targeting Ambarella’s AI vision processors. Work on new feature development spanning driver-level and middleware-level software and support customers in product integration and customization.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires around 2+ years of professional software/firmware development experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on embedded application development, integration, and customer support.

• Develop and debug video/audio applications on embedded platforms.
• Implement new features in driver and middleware layers of the software stack.
• Analyze customer product issues, provide troubleshooting, and deliver fixes or workarounds.
• Assist customers with function customization and integration into their products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets product requirements.
• Provide on-site or remote customer support and travel as required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and capabilities.

• At least 2 years of experience in software or firmware development.
• Proficient in C and C++ programming.
• Strong experience in one or more of: OS (VxWorks, Linux, uITRON), BSP, or device driver development.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet customer timelines.
• Willingness to travel for customer support.
• Nice-to-have: hardware experience and embedded systems debugging skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
