Application Engineer Consultant - Calibre DS

Role Summary

Provide technical support and deployment assistance for Siemens EDA's Calibre physical verification tools to customers. Work with Sales and Product teams to resolve customer issues, deliver training, and create technical knowledge-base content.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience not stated; prior experience with ASIC/custom design and physical verification is recommended.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on customer-facing technical support, deployment, and enablement.

• Provide technical support to customers via telephone, remote channels, and on-site visits.
• Assist customers in deploying Calibre software to address design and verification challenges.
• Support design and verification across PDK, DRM, and post-tapeout (mask) flows using Calibre.
• Track and update customer issues using Siemens EDA processes and tracking tools.
• Develop and deliver technical training on product features and updates.
• Create technical content for the Siemens EDA knowledge base.
• Communicate customer technical requirements and issues to product and sales teams.

Requirements

Core skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Good understanding of custom/ASIC design flow and physical verification.
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Tcl, Perl, C/C++).
• Knowledge of competitive EDA tools for physical implementation and verification is desirable.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science required; M.S. preferred.
