Application Engineer

Role Summary

Support design, testing, debugging and release of power module products. Work with reliability, production and test teams to resolve issues, develop reference hardware and documentation, and provide technical support and training to customers.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include validation, hardware development, documentation and cross-functional support.

• Test and debug power module products, including verification and failure analysis.
• Design and develop reference test boards and related hardware.
• Collaborate with PE, RE and TE to resolve mass-production issues.
• Evaluate new products and generate test reports.
• Produce datasheets, application notes and design documentation.
• Provide application support and technical training to internal teams and customers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, plus preferred extras.

• Proven hardware implementation and circuit debugging skills.
• Ability to analyze complex analog and power-electronic circuits.
• Experience in power supply design and practical power-electronics development.
• Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience working with reliability, production and test engineering teams.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with LLC and Buck power module products and related test methodologies.

Education Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics) or equivalent with 1+ years of power module experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of power module experience; major in Power Electronics or related field. Equivalent practical experience may be acceptable.
