Job Title

APAC Digital SOC Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on digital SoC test engineering focused on integration, structural test, ATPG, scan, MBIST and post-silicon validation for products in the APAC region. The role involves designing, verifying, characterizing, and supporting manufacturing/test solutions to improve yield, test time, and product quality.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early-career. Typically 1–3 years of hardware engineering or related experience; role requires independent work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include validating digital SoC hardware and developing production test solutions.

  • Plan, verify, and test electronic systems, including digital subsystems and FPGA/DSP-based test flows.
  • Integrate features and functionality into hardware designs per product roadmaps.
  • Run simulations and analyses; optimize designs for power, performance, and area.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, validation, software, and architecture teams to implement test solutions and requirements.
  • Develop and evaluate manufacturing and bring-up solutions to meet schedule and customer expectations.
  • Characterize reliability of materials and processes; introduce automation and optimization to improve productivity.
  • Write detailed technical documentation and test reports.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required or preferred for successful performance in this role.

  • Must-have: 1–3 years of hardware engineering or related experience with hands-on test/validation work.
  • Must-have: Experience with digital and/or analog circuit design and characterization.
  • Must-have: Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
  • Must-have: Experience with hardware measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools) and test equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate technical information clearly, and collaborate across functions.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with structural test, ATPG, SCAN, MBIST, ATE, MATLAB, debugging tools, or prior SoC test/validation roles.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field (typical minimum) with 2+ years of hardware engineering experience; OR Master's degree in the same fields with 1+ year of hardware engineering experience; OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field. Preferred: Master's degree in a related field.
