Job Title

APAC Digital SOC Test Engineer

Role Summary

Work on digital SoC test and validation within Qualcomm's Hardware Engineering team in Hsinchu. The role supports test development, silicon bring-up, manufacturing characterization, and test system implementation for digital/analog/RF systems and associated equipment.

Focus on executing verification and test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and improving yield, test time, and product quality.

Experience Level

Entry-level. The role works under supervision and requires basic planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred experience: 1+ year in circuit design, schematic/circuit simulation, or hardware measurement tools when available.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

  • Plan, verify, and test electronic systems and digital SoC hardware, including test systems and FPGA/DSP setups.
  • Support integration of features and functionality into hardware designs per roadmap.
  • Perform simulations and analyses to optimize power, performance, and area.
  • Implement and incorporate test solutions in production to improve yield and test time.
  • Evaluate and characterize manufacturing and reliability solutions; assist product bring-up.
  • Assess common design features for flaws, compatibility, or compliance issues.
  • Document hardware projects and test procedures.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Basic hardware test and verification skills; ability to work under supervision; clear verbal and written communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with circuit design (digital, analog, or RF).
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, and other hardware measurement instruments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in these fields is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
