Job Title
Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for verification of high-performance analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters within mixed-signal IC projects. Works with design, layout, and customer teams to deliver validated behavioral models and circuit-level verification.
Experience Level
Entry-level β requires approximately 2+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC development and verification.
Responsibilities
Primary tasks involve verification, modeling, simulation, and cross-team support for data-converter designs.
- Plan and execute verification of analog and mixed-signal designs for high-performance ADCs and DACs.
- Develop analog and digital behavioral models and verification testbenches (Verilog, Verilog-A).
- Run and analyze transistor-level and circuit simulations with Spectre and/or HSPICE.
- Perform layout parasitic extraction and assess layout-dependent impairments.
- Collaborate with designers, layout engineers, and geographically distributed teams; provide customer support as required.
- Document verification results, track issues, and adhere to schedules.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in high-performance analog or mixed-signal IC development and verification in advanced CMOS processes.
- Familiarity with high-speed, high-resolution ADC or DAC design and common building blocks (bandgap reference, op-amps, comparators, oscillators, DLL/PLL).
- Strong analytical understanding of transistor-level circuit behavior including noise and mismatch analysis.
- Experience with analog and digital behavioral modeling; familiarity with Verilog and Verilog-A, including wreals.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso/schematic capture and Spectre and/or HSPICE simulation tools.
- Familiarity with layout parasitic extraction tools and layout-dependent impairments.
- Ability to work independently, create and adhere to schedules; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience supporting customers or cross-site design teams on verification or modeling issues.
Education Requirements
