Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Manager - High Performance Radar
Role Summary
Lead a team of 3β5 early-career analog design engineers to develop analog and mixed-signal IP (PLLs, ADCs, DACs, filters, LDOs) for mmWave radar front-end subsystems. Drive architecture tradeoffs across power, performance, and die area, oversee implementation and verification, and coordinate post-silicon validation and debug.
Experience Level
Senior - requires substantial design and leadership experience; the role specifies 7+ years in analog and mixed-signal nanometer CMOS IC design.
Responsibilities
Responsible for technical leadership, execution, and team development within High-Performance Radar R&D.
- Lead and mentor a small team of analog/mixed-signal engineers, manage personnel development and performance.
- Define and execute IC design R&D roadmaps aligned with product and business objectives.
- Assess system-level requirements and drive architectural analyses to balance power, performance, and die area.
- Oversee circuit implementation, verification plans, and tapeout readiness to achieve first-pass silicon success.
- Coordinate with validation, product engineering, and cross-functional teams to review post-silicon results and drive debug actions.
- Provide technical guidance to product and application teams and represent the team in deep-technical customer interactions when required.
- Establish productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and take initiative to drive results.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Must-have: 7+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal nanometer CMOS IC design.
- Must-have: Proven experience delivering analog/mixed-signal IP and ownership through design and verification.
- Must-have: Experience driving architecture tradeoffs and ensuring comprehensive verification strategies.
- Must-have: Experience with post-silicon validation and debugging processes.
- Must-have: Experience leading and mentoring early-career engineers and managing on-time IP delivery.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with PLLs, data converters (ADC/DAC), or similar analog IP.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with mmWave/radar systems, lab measurements, and advanced packaging considerations.
- Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Analog IC design is required. A PhD in Electrical Engineering (Analog IC design) is preferred. (Source also states Master's degree as required in job metadata.)
