Job Title
Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer (Principal/Staff)
Role Summary
Senior analog/mixed-signal IC designer working on high-speed IPs (HBM, UCIe, SerDes, PLL) for AI/ML, HPC and data center products. The role is part of a multi-geography engineering team responsible for circuit design, verification, layout review and silicon bring-up for advanced CMOS nodes.
Experience Level
Senior β position expects extensive experience; the posting indicates a preference for 10+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end circuit design and verification for high-speed mixed-signal IP.
- Design high-speed mixed-signal circuits and high-speed clock distribution networks.
- Develop schematics and run pre-layout and post-layout simulations and verification.
- Perform detailed layout reviews and optimize critical paths for low jitter and low power.
- Participate in design reviews and prepare technical documentation and presentations.
- Assist IP integration into SoCs and provide guidance during initial silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization.
- Collaborate with validation engineers to ensure first-time-right quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience for the role.
- Proven experience designing high-speed custom analog and mixed-signal circuits (examples: SerDes, HBM, UCIe, PLL).
- Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso tool suite, Spectre simulator, and Virtuoso ADE workflows.
- Experience with design and verification in advanced CMOS nodes, including FinFET processes.
- Strong fundamentals in circuit design, timing, power, and signal integrity for high-speed interfaces.
- Ability to present technical work clearly to peers and non-experts and to document design decisions.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with MATLAB, AMI or 3D modeling of high-speed designs.
- Familiarity with industry interface specifications and high-speed design definitions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (fields related to analog/mixed-signal/IC design) β posting prefers candidates with 10+ years of related experience.
