Job Title

Analog Mixed-Signal Design Intern

Role Summary

Internship role on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team focused on design, simulation, verification, and silicon characterization of low-power analog circuits. Work will support operational amplifier design, power-management blocks, and automation of design workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Targeted at current graduate students or early-career candidates; this is a student internship role.

Responsibilities

Contribute to circuit design, verification, and lab validation as part of a cross-functional analog design team.

  • Design, simulate, and verify analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Apply operational amplifier theory; perform stability and compensation analysis.
  • Design low-power circuits (e.g., LDOs, buck converters) with power-performance tradeoffs.
  • Characterize silicon in the lab and debug performance against specifications.
  • Develop and apply scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate flows and analyze data.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and collaborative problem solving.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful contribution during the internship.

  • Hands-on proficiency with analog IC design concepts and low-power design principles.
  • Experience or coursework in operational amplifier design, stability, and compensation techniques.
  • Familiarity with silicon characterization and debug methods in a lab environment.
  • Ability to script and automate tasks using Python, Perl, TCL, or Shell.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in team-based engineering processes.
  • Good learning agility and adaptability to changing project requirements.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
