Job Title

Analog/Mixed Signal CAD Engineer

Role Summary

Work on analog back-end CAD flows and automation to support analog/mixed-signal IC projects. The role partners with design, layout, process, and external vendor teams to maintain and improve CAD flow stability and design turnaround.

Primary focus areas include flow development, verification support (DRC/LVS/QRC/EMIR/PERC), troubleshooting, and methodology standardization.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical guidance: 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 1+ year with a master’s degree.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include maintaining CAD flows, supporting verification, and improving automation and methodology.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize analog back-end CAD flows, environments, and automation tools.
  • Support verification flows for analog/mixed-signal projects including DRC, LVS, QRC, EMIR, and PERC.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CAD flows, PDKs, and EDA tools.
  • Collaborate with design, layout, process, and vendor teams to improve flow stability and design efficiency.
  • Contribute to CAD methodology development and flow standardization.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by a short list of desirable skills.

  • Hands-on experience in analog back-end design or CAD support.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre/Pegasus, xCalibre, Quantus, or StarRC.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Tcl, Python, Perl, SKILL, Shell) for flow automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot EDA tool, PDK, and flow issues; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with DRC/LVS/PERC rule deck development or PCell development.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. The posting indicates 3+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 1+ year with a master’s degree.
