Role Summary

Design complex analog IC layouts and floorplans to meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets. Execute physical verification flows and collaborate with analog designers, process technology, and package teams to optimize area, power, and yield.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

• Design detailed layouts for analog signal circuits according to specifications.
• Create and analyze floorplans, power grids, ESD protection structures, and bumps for analog blocks.
• Perform micro-floorplanning, shielding, and device matching for critical signals.
• Run physical verification flows (DRC, LVS) and advanced checks (EM/IR, ESD, thermal).
• Troubleshoot layout, tool, flow, and methodology issues.
• Develop and drive improved analog layout methodologies to increase productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with circuit, process, and package teams and negotiate layout trade-offs for area, power, and reliability.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Proven analog and mixed-signal IC layout experience.
• Proficiency with custom layout tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent).
• Experience with physical verification tools (e.g., Calibre or equivalent) for DRC, LVS, ANT, and ERC.
• Expertise in reliability verification: electromigration, IR drop, ESD, and thermal effects.
• Knowledge of advanced process nodes and layout techniques (matching, shielding, guard rings, common-centroid layouts).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with package co-design, bump planning, or advanced floorplanning techniques.
