Analog IC Design Engineering Intern

Role Summary

This internship is part of the analog IC design team working on transistor-level design for high-speed data converters. The intern will define, design, model, implement and document analog circuits and support circuit validation and design reviews.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Role is intended for students; no professional years-of-experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Understand circuit requirements and specifications.
• Investigate and compare circuit architectures for performance tradeoffs.
• Create transistor-level schematics while considering layout impact.
• Participate in design reviews and produce required design and product documentation.
• Validate circuits in simulation across process, voltage and temperature variations.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful performance:

• Must-have: Basic knowledge of CMOS integrated circuit design and transistor-level schematic development.
• Must-have: Experience or ability to perform circuit validation in simulation environments.
• Nice-to-have: RF knowledge and transmission line theory.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Cadence analog design environment.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Verilog-A or VAMS for testbench development.
• Nice-to-have: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Nice-to-have: Ability to learn new systems quickly, take initiative, and manage time to deliver projects on schedule.
