Analog IC Design Engineer (LP Level)
Role Summary
Design and deliver analog integrated circuits with ownership from specification through silicon and production. Work on LDO and mixed-signal analog blocks for industrial, automotive, data center, communications and personal electronics markets.
The role requires cross-functional collaboration with layout, verification, validation, product engineering, systems and field teams and direct customer interaction as needed.
Experience Level
Mid-level β minimum 5 years of analog and/or mixed-signal circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design LDOs and related analog circuitry for multiple market segments.
- Lead full-chip design efforts with product ownership from definition to release and manufacturing.
- Design, develop, modify and evaluate analog parts, components and integrated circuits.
- Evaluate design results during design phases and silicon evaluation to meet technical objectives.
- Guide and coordinate with physical designers and monitor IC layout progress.
- Collaborate with design verification teams during pre-production gate stages to complete technical tasks.
- Work with systems, applications and marketing to prepare product briefs, datasheets and application notes and help define product requirements.
- Collaborate with validation, product engineering and test teams to enable transfer to production.
- Interface with customers and field teams to understand designs, troubleshoot issues and provide support.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
Must-have:
- At least 5 years of analog and/or mixed-signal IC design experience.
- Proven design expertise with analog building blocks such as bandgaps, bias networks, amplifiers, comparators, and charge pumps.
- Experience in silicon validation, debugging and working with layout and verification teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration and time-management skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience implementing robust memory and ESD protection circuits for silicon reliability.
- Experience engaging in early product definition to optimize cost, performance and power.
- Experience across industrial, automotive, datacenter or communications product spaces.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
