Role Summary
The MPP Dallas power management design team is hiring an Analog IC Design Engineer to develop high-current, low-voltage power stages for multi-phase buck converters aimed at high-performance computing and datacenter platforms.
The role covers architecture and transistor-level design through layout supervision, verification, and silicon validation to meet performance, efficiency, thermal, and area targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level - requires 5+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
Responsibilities
Design, verify, and deliver high-current power stage IP for multi-phase buck converters and support silicon bring-up.
- Design and develop high-current, low-voltage power stages for multi-phase buck converters.
- Own the full design cycle: architecture, transistor-level design, verification, and layout supervision.
- Perform circuit simulations (DC, AC, transient, corner analysis) to validate designs across conditions.
- Optimize power stage performance for efficiency, switching speed, thermal management, and area.
- Collaborate with systems, applications, and product teams to define specifications and ensure customer requirements are met.
- Work with layout engineers to implement high-density, high-performance power stage layouts and address layout-specific constraints.
- Support silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, and failure analysis.
- Contribute to design methodology improvements and best practices.
Requirements

- 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience focused on power management.
- Strong fundamentals in power electronics and DC-DC converter topologies.
- Experience with high-current, low-voltage power stages and advanced BCD processes.
- Understanding of layout considerations for high-current monolithic LDMOS power devices.
- Proven ability to own designs through verification, layout supervision, and silicon validation.
- Proficiency in circuit simulation and corner analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; Master's or PhD preferred. The posting explicitly lists a Master's degree level as preferred.
