Analog IC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Lead an analog integrated-circuit design team responsible for product definition, design, silicon evaluation and transfer to manufacturing. The team develops power-management and analog solutions for consumer electronics, mobile computing and communications.

Work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver production-ready analog IC products.

Experience Level

Senior — 7+ years of relevant analog IC design or related industry experience.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

• Own product design from specification through release and transfer to production.
• Lead and assign work to team members; provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Design, develop and evaluate analog integrated circuits and power-management solutions; perform silicon evaluation and verify design goals.
• Collaborate with physical layout teams, oversee IC layout progress and ensure layout considerations are met.
• Coordinate with design verification, systems, validation, product engineering and test engineering to complete technical tasks and enable production transfer.
• Prepare product documentation such as product briefs, datasheets and application notes.
• Interface with customers and field applications teams to understand requirements and provide technical support.

• Proven experience leading analog IC design teams and owning product delivery.
• Strong analog IC design and silicon evaluation skills at component and circuit level.
• Experience working with layout, verification, validation and test engineering teams.
• Experience translating customer requirements into product specifications and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and evaluate engineering personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with power electronics and DC–DC converter topologies.
• Knowledge of layout considerations for high-current monolithic LDMOS power devices.
• Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes and strong time-management skills.

Education Requirements

Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering.
