Job Title

Analog EDA Lead Engineer

Role Summary

Lead development and delivery of front-end analog EDA/CAD flows and automation for analog design teams in Bengaluru. Collaborate with design engineers, EDA vendors and cross-functional teams to enable analog simulation, verification and layout flows.

Experience Level

Senior — 4–8 years of EDA/CAD experience; 2–3 years in a technical lead role for analog frontend.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on technical leadership of analog frontend EDA tools, automation and vendor interactions.

  • Design, develop and maintain analog frontend EDA flows and automation for simulation, verification and layout.
  • Lead and mentor engineers; delegate tasks and manage technical delivery.
  • Interface with EDA vendors for flow evaluations, licensing and roadmap planning.
  • Create scripts and tools using Python, TCL, Cadence SKILL and Unix/Shell to automate flows.
  • Support analog and mixed-signal simulation (Spice, Spectre, Verilog-A) and verification workflows.
  • Collaborate with compute infrastructure and data management teams; evaluate optional AI/ML solutions.
  • Document designs, track project status and communicate results to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of hands-on EDA/CAD experience in frontend analog design tools and flows.
  • 2–3 years experience serving as a technical lead for analog frontend teams.
  • Strong practical experience with Virtuoso, analog circuit simulation, mixed-signal simulation, analog design verification, Spice and Spectre.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming: Python, TCL, Cadence SKILL, Unix/Shell.
  • Experience interfacing with EDA vendors and evaluating tools and licensing models.
  • Good CMOS circuit fundamentals, analog layout and simulation experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills; mentoring/people management is a plus.
  • Optional: experience with AI/ML solutions, compute infrastructure or data management.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study (posting lists Degree Level: Bachelor’s Degree). The posting does not state explicit equivalent-experience language.
