Analog EDA Backend Lead
Role Summary
Lead development, deployment and support of backend analog EDA tools, flows and methodology for IP and SoC design across TI's analog and embedded product lines. The role partners with internal IP/SoC teams and EDA vendors to define, evaluate and operationalize automated solutions that improve PPA and time-to-market.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on delivering backend analog EDA solutions from evaluation through worldwide deployment and support.
- Define, evaluate and develop EDA flows and tools for backend analog design in collaboration with IP and SoC teams.
- Collaborate with EDA vendors (Cadence, Synopsys, etc.) on tool evaluations, automation and vendor integrations.
- Automate flows, run regressions across process nodes, and validate DRC/LVS/extraction and simulation flows.
- Create training materials and documentation; deploy and support solutions as global applications.
- Diagnose and resolve EDA tool/flow issues to meet project PPA and schedule targets.
Requirements
Minimal and preferred technical qualifications, separated where possible.
- Must-have: Relevant EDA/CAD experience (posting indicates 0–10 years) and a strong interest in automation.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with backend analog design tools and flows (Virtuoso, layout, DRC, LVS, extraction, basic simulation).
- Nice-to-have: Programming and scripting: Python, TCL, Cadence SKILL, Unix/Shell.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to AI/ML solutions, compute infrastructure or data management.
- Nice-to-have: Demonstrated communication, time-management and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (as listed in the posting).
