Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant analog design experience (see Education Requirements for degree guidance).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform analog design simulation and analysis using in-development analog design tools and flows (AC, DC, transient, Monte‑Carlo).
- Provide actionable feedback to internal tools teams to improve tool functionality and usability.
- Create documentation and training materials; train internal designers on tools and flows.
- Improve analog design flow efficiency to reduce time-to-market for IP and silicon.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tool integration and optimization.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and behaviors:
- Proven analog design skills with attention to power, performance, and area (PPA).
- Proficiency in analog simulation and verification methodologies (AC, DC, transient, Monte‑Carlo).
- Experience with EDA tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification (examples: Synopsys Custom Compiler, Cadence Virtuoso).
- Knowledge of analog layout parasitics and design considerations for advanced nodes (FinFET, GAA).
- Strong written and verbal English communication; able to produce clear, concise documentation.
- Independent debugger who provides constructive feedback and works well in teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in tool flow automation or internal tool development.
