Job Title

Analog Design Sr. Staff Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the design and delivery of advanced analog and mixed-signal circuits, blocks, and subsystems from specification through production. Act as a technical lead for architecture, transistor-level implementation, silicon bring-up, and cross-functional coordination with layout, validation, and product teams.

Experience Level

Senior - minimum 8 years of professional experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on design, verification, and production readiness for analog/mixed-signal IP and products.

  • Lead design and development of analog and mixed-signal circuits, blocks, and subsystems from spec to production.
  • Develop architecture proposals and perform trade-off analyses for performance, power, area, and cost.
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, and optimization using SPICE/Spectre and other industry tools.
  • Manage tape-out activities, silicon bring-up, debug, and laboratory characterization.
  • Collaborate with layout engineering to preserve design intent and ensure manufacturability.
  • Establish and execute validation plans aligned with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and project teams.

Requirements

Concise list of required and preferred technical qualifications.

  • Must-have: Minimum 8 years of professional analog/mixed-signal IC design experience; demonstrated expertise in transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE and Spectre.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with silicon debug, laboratory characterization, and measurements.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of design methodologies for robustness, reliability, and testability.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed interfaces, data converters, voltage regulators, power management circuits, or sensors.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with deep submicron CMOS process technologies.
