Role Summary
Lead an analog IC design team responsible for product definition through release and transfer to manufacturing. The role provides technical leadership, project planning and cross-functional coordination with layout, verification, systems, validation and test teams, and direct customer engagement.
Focus areas include analog solutions for consumer electronics, mobile computing and communications.
Experience Level
Senior β 6+ years of relevant analog IC design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage an analog IC design team; assign work, provide design guidance and monitor progress.
- Own product development from definition through silicon verification and transfer to manufacturing.
- Evaluate intermediate and final design results and support silicon evaluation and bring-up.
- Coordinate with physical designers on layout and collaborate with design verification during pre-production milestones.
- Work with systems, applications, product engineering, validation and test to prepare product briefs, datasheets and application notes.
- Engage with customers and field application teams to understand designs, resolve issues and provide technical support.
- Participate in hiring, mentoring and evaluating team members to build technical capability.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in analog IC design, including leadership or project ownership.
- Proven experience with silicon evaluation, bring-up and transfer to production.
- Experience collaborating with physical layout, design verification, validation and test teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Preferred: strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to ramp quickly on new systems; effective time management; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (posting specifies Bachelor's degree requirement).
