Analog Design Intern
Role Summary
Perform detailed circuit design, simulation, layout support, and lab characterization for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (op-amps, voltage/current references, linear and switching regulators, charge pumps, power control).
Work on an engineering team under a mentor as part of Qorvo's internship program and deliver documentation and design release notes for product characterization.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current college students; no specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with a mentor to define architecture and solutions.
- Perform circuit design and simulation to meet product functionalities and specifications.
- Support layout, verification, and design review processes and best practices.
- Characterize, verify, and debug designs through lab measurements.
- Produce design release notes and documentation for product characterization.
Requirements
Core skills and attributes expected:
- Completed coursework in analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with circuit simulation and laboratory measurement techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication; self-starter and team player.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso preferred.
Education Requirements
Internship is for students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. The posting specifically notes candidates pursuing an MS or PhD and references coursework in analog and digital circuit design.
