Job Title

Analog Design Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Internship role supporting analog and RF integrated circuit design within High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, or Connectivity and Sensors business groups. The intern will work on schematic design, simulation, and lab measurement tasks under the guidance of senior engineers; specific projects depend on business needs.

Position available in San Jose, CA or Apopka, FL for the duration of the internship program.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level (current Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD students). No specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the design of integrated circuit functional blocks (bandgaps, amplifiers, current references, comparators, general analog blocks, RF power amplifier, LNA, and other RF blocks).
  • Perform schematic design, circuit-level simulation, and support lab measurements and data analysis.
  • Ensure designs meet performance targets while considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver design documentation, simulations, and measured results.
  • Present work to mentors and stakeholders as required.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and candidate attributes:

  • Coursework or hands-on experience in analog/RF integrated circuit design.
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS, and electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools.
  • Exposure to analog measurement equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes (preferred).
  • Familiarity with power management, signal chain, ADCs, or high-voltage gate drivers is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. BS in Electrical Engineering is required for completion prior to hire in some roles; Master's and PhD students are accepted. Relevant fields include Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines with coursework in integrated circuit, analog, or RF circuit design. Minimum average GPA of 3.5 in integrated circuit (analog and digital) design coursework.
