Analog Design Engineering Intern

Role Summary

Join an integrated-circuit development team focused on power-management analog and mixed-signal designs. The intern will develop circuit topologies, run simulations, participate in design reviews, and support integration and validation within the power-management system.

Typical internship duration is six months or longer; position is based in Freising, Germany within the Power Management design group.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Internship (targeted at current university students).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and model analog and mixed-signal IC topologies to meet specifications.
  • Perform circuit simulation and performance evaluation using Spectre or equivalent mixed-signal tools.
  • Participate in circuit design reviews with senior design engineers.
  • Integrate designs into full power-management systems and support system-level verification.
  • Support lab characterization and prototype testing as required.

Requirements

Relevant technical skills and attributes.

  • Strong understanding of transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuit concepts.
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (Spectre or equivalent) and IC design environments.
  • Practical experience or interest in switch-mode power converter design is a plus.
  • Comfortable with lab equipment and hands-on testing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; very good English.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to collaborate in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field, preferably with a focus on integrated circuit design.
