Analog Design Engineer - Technical Lead

Role Summary

Lead the design, development, and validation of complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits from concept through silicon qualification. Serve as a technical reference, provide project leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (system architects, digital, layout, product engineering, manufacturing).

Experience Level

Senior — typically >15 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Deliver and support analog/mixed-signal blocks across the full product lifecycle; provide technical leadership and process improvements.

• Lead architecture, transistor-level design, simulation, and verification of analog/mixed-signal blocks (amplifiers, voltage references, regulators, ADCs/DACs, PLLs, clocking, sensor interfaces, power management).
• Perform detailed simulations across PVT (process, voltage, temperature) and drive design reviews and technical risk assessments.
• Support layout implementation, post-layout verification, silicon bring-up, characterization, and production ramp.
• Collaborate with digital design, verification, layout, product engineering, and manufacturing to meet product goals.
• Define and promote best practices, design methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff; provide technical guidance and decision-making on complex issues.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience (concise).

• Extensive CMOS analog circuit design and analysis experience.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre.
• Proven track record of successful silicon development and product delivery.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, noise analysis, reliability, and design-for-manufacturing.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, project ownership, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Education Requirements

Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related technical field.
