Job Title
Analog Design Engineer β Technical Lead
Role Summary
Lead the design, development, and validation of complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits from concept through silicon qualification. Serve as a technical reference and mentor, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive delivery of high-performance semiconductor products.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting specifies typically >15 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design.
Responsibilities
Accountable for architecture, detailed design, verification, and support across the silicon lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead architecture, transistor-level design, and verification of analog/mixed-signal blocks (amplifiers, references, regulators, ADC/DAC, PLLs, clocking, sensor interfaces, power management).
- Perform detailed simulations and ensure performance across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.
- Drive design reviews, technical risk assessments, problem resolution, and post-layout verification.
- Support layout implementation, silicon bring-up, characterization, and production ramp activities.
- Collaborate with system architects, digital design, verification, layout, product engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Define and promote design methodologies and best practices; contribute to technology roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior and senior engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- More than 15 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design.
- Strong expertise in CMOS analog circuit design and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre for simulation and verification.
- Proven track record of successful silicon development and product delivery.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, noise analysis, reliability, and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
- Technical leadership, complex project execution, and strong communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience defining design methodologies and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field (explicitly listed as required in the posting).
