Job Title

Analog Design Engineer (Precision Analog) — New Graduate

Role Summary

Campus hire to join MPS R&D designing precision analog integrated circuits. Work spans transistor-level circuit design, simulation, verification and silicon validation, collaborating with packaging, CAD and process teams under senior engineering mentorship.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new graduate / campus hire). No prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Contribute across the product lifecycle from specification to post-silicon validation.

  • Contribute to product definition and select suitable process nodes.
  • Design circuits from transistor level to system level for precision analog functions.
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification and develop test methodologies.
  • Supervise and verify physical layout implementation for electrical rule compliance.
  • Lead post-silicon debugging, characterization and evaluation after tape-out.
  • Support test and production teams by developing test programs and aiding product release.
  • Propose and evaluate novel circuit ideas and help prepare application notes, data sheets and demo hardware.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional competencies.

  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits, semiconductor physics, and IC design flows.
  • Familiarity with precision analog building blocks (op-amps, ADCs/DACs, references) and error-budget analysis (offset, noise, drift).
  • Proficiency with circuit simulation and mainstream EDA tools for design and verification.
  • Problem-solving ability to analyze defined problems and select practical solutions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork; ability to organize tasks and meet deadlines under supervision.

Nice-to-have: experience with layout supervision, post-silicon test and characterization, and cross-functional collaboration with packaging/CAD/process teams.

Education Requirements

Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Microelectronics required (fresh graduates only). No alternative-equivalent experience language or certifications were specified.
