Job Title

Analog Design Engineer (Power Management) — New Graduate

Role Summary

Join MPS R&D as a campus hire to design and develop integrated power-management ICs. The role covers transistor-level circuit design through silicon validation, working within a multi-disciplinary team under senior-engineer mentorship.

Experience Level

Entry-level (New graduate / campus hire). Position is for fresh graduates (Master's or Ph.D.).

Responsibilities

Contribute across the product lifecycle with mentorship from senior engineers.

  • Specify product requirements and help select process nodes.
  • Perform transistor- to system-level analog circuit design for power management.
  • Run circuit simulations, perform verification, and develop test methodologies.
  • Review and supervise layout implementation to meet electrical rules.
  • Debug, characterize, and evaluate silicon after tape-out.
  • Support test-program development and product release activities.
  • Document designs and contribute to application notes, data sheets, and demo boards.

Requirements

Core technical skills and team competencies expected from a new graduate.

  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit principles, semiconductor physics, and IC design flows.
  • Familiarity with power-system concepts: topologies, control schemes, stability analysis, and compensation techniques.
  • Experience using mainstream EDA tools for circuit design and simulation.
  • Problem-solving ability to analyze defined engineering issues and select appropriate solutions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to meet milestones under guidance.
  • Nice-to-have: practical exposure to thermal management, power-stage design, or transistor-level layout considerations.

Education Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Microelectronics. Position is restricted to fresh graduates.
