Job Title
Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Member of TI's advanced circuits and power solutions team in Bengaluru, owning analog IC/IP design from specification through silicon release and transfer to production. The role focuses on designing precision signal-chain and power integrated circuits for mobile and consumer electronics customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career β requires approximately 2+ years of analog circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, design, verification support and cross-functional delivery of analog ICs and sub-sections.
- Own analog chip / IP design from definition through release and manufacturing.
- Architect and implement block-level and transistor-level designs; produce schematics and run simulations.
- Evaluate intermediate and final design results and silicon to ensure technical objectives are met.
- Collaborate with design verification, validation, product engineering and test teams to enable production transfer.
- Interact directly with customers during technical reviews and architecture discussions when required.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables and documentation to meet tight timelines and quality targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, followed by useful but optional skills.
- Minimum 2+ years of analog circuit design experience.
- Hands-on experience with transistor-level analog design, schematic generation and simulation workflows.
- Experience with industry CAD toolsets (Cadence toolset) and circuit simulators such as Spectre and Simplis.
- Ability to analyze worst-case scenarios, perform Monte Carlo and top-level simulations, and interpret simulation data.
- Strong cross-functional communication and the ability to work directly with internal teams and external customers.
- Project/time management skills and the ability to complete complex IC design tasks with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with AMS, Matlab and post-layout parasitic extraction and verification.
- IC system partitioning, architectural tradeoff analysis and block-level topology selection.
- Physical layout awareness, signal grounding/routing tradeoffs and die-area optimization.
- Knowledge of device physics and process-technology tradeoffs relevant to power IC design.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study (as listed in the posting).
