Job Title

Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Analog Design Engineer will architect and design high-performance analog and mixed-signal building blocks (PLLs, ADCs/DACs, RFIC blocks such as LNAs and mixers) and drive simulation, verification, and sign-off activities for IC projects. The role sits within an engineering services team supporting multi-node CMOS and FinFET implementations.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 5 to 8 years of relevant analog/RF IC design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architect and design analog/mixed-signal blocks (PLLs, CT sigma-delta ADCs/DACs, RF front-end components such as LNAs and mixers).
  • Perform pre-layout and post-layout simulations: corner analysis, Monte Carlo, noise, and reliability modeling (EM/IR/Aging/BTI/HCI).
  • Translate and optimize designs across process nodes (planar to FinFET) and define transition strategies.
  • Run physical verification and sign-off workflows (DRC/LVS/PEX) and participate in power/IR sign-off activities.
  • Adopt and drive analog design methodology improvements, automation, and script-based verification.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5–8 years of hands-on analog/RF IC design experience.
  • Experience with CT sigma-delta ADC design and RFIC blocks (LNA, mixer) and PLL design.
  • Cadence Virtuoso custom design flow (ADE/Maestro); simulation experience with Spectre, HSPICE, or equivalent.
  • Physical verification experience with Mentor Calibre (DRC/LVS/PEX) or Synopsys IC Validator.
  • Familiarity with power/IR sign-off tools such as Voltus or RedHawk.
  • Multi-node design experience, including planar (e.g., 28nm) and FinFET nodes (e.g., 16nm, 7nm).
  • Simulation and verification skills: Monte Carlo, corner, noise analysis, reliability modeling.
  • Script-based automation experience (Python, SKILL, Tcl) and commitment to design methodology best practices.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
