Job Title

Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Analog Design Engineer will design, develop, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits for IPs in advanced process nodes. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with architecture and layout teams to deliver high-performance, power-efficient circuit solutions.

Work includes circuit design, simulation, verification, test planning, and resolving electrical and performance issues to meet specified power, area, timing, and yield targets.

Experience Level

Senior-level - requires extensive hands-on analog design experience (posting specifies 12+ years of relevant experience).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include design, verification, and delivery of analog/mixed-signal circuits and supporting cross-functional integration.

  • Design, develop, and optimize analog circuits and analog behavior models (examples: GPIO, PLLs, LDOs, ADCs).
  • Perform floor planning, circuit design, and parameter extraction aligned with microarchitecture specifications.
  • Simulate and verify designs to meet performance, power, area, timing, and yield goals.
  • Create and execute detailed test plans; analyze and evaluate test results against metrics.
  • Collaborate with architecture and layout teams to maximize robustness and electrical capability.
  • Analyze, track, and resolve performance and electrical issues to ensure specification compliance.
  • Report design progress and contribute to cross-functional delivery schedules.
  • Reduce leakage and optimize power, performance, and area across multiple projects.

Requirements

Minimum technical and professional requirements for the role.

  • 12+ years of hands-on analog circuit design experience.
  • Proficiency in CMOS technologies, circuit simulation, and circuit testing methodologies.
  • Strong foundation in analog electronics and analog behavior modeling.
  • Technical experience with analog power circuits and specific blocks such as LDOs, clocking circuits, and ADCs.
  • Experience working with advanced process nodes and industry IP development.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve electrical/performance issues; focus on meeting power, timing, area, and yield targets.
  • Nice-to-have: demonstrated experience delivering complex IP, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is specified; Master's degree is also referenced. The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree. (Posting also ties experience expectations to degree level: 12+ years of experience is required.)
