Job Title

Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Senior analog/mixed-signal design engineer for the Vital Signs Monitor Group within the Industrial and Healthcare Business Unit. The team develops low-power, high-performance analog front ends (AFEs) for wearable and clinical health products.

The role covers transistor-level IC design, behavioral modeling, silicon bring-up and product introduction in a cross-functional engineering environment.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies degree/experience guidance: a BSEE with 2+ years relevant design experience, or an MSEE/Ph.D. focused on high-performance analog design techniques.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end IC development and verification plus support for product introduction.

  • Define specifications and perform transistor-level analog/mixed-signal IC design.
  • Create behavioral models for system-level simulation and verification.
  • Coordinate verification, documentation and layout supervision.
  • Perform silicon evaluation, characterization and support product introduction activities.
  • Collaborate with test engineering on design-for-test and manufacturability.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role.

  • Thorough familiarity with data converter (ADC/DAC) design techniques.
  • Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor-level analog design.
  • Experience with analog and digital behavioral modeling for system simulation.
  • Proficiency with Cadence schematic capture and circuit simulators such as Spectre and/or HSPICE.
  • Ability to define project schedules and adhere to timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing instrumentation amplifiers, operational amplifiers and bandgap references.
  • Experience with layout supervision, silicon bring-up and manufacturing support.

Education Requirements

Requires a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 2+ years relevant design experience, or a Master of Science (MSEE) or Ph.D. focused on high-performance analog design techniques.
