Job Title

Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Entry-level Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer assigned to the MIC Design team in Agoura Hills, CA. Responsible for designing, simulating, and validating high-performance, high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits used in memory interface and silicon IP products.

This is a hybrid role (typical expectation: ~3 days onsite per week) that requires collaboration with layout, lab, verification and system teams to move designs from concept through pre-silicon verification and lab characterization.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career. The posting targets recent graduates and individuals starting their engineering careers; no specific years of industry experience are required.

Responsibilities

Design and verify analog/mixed-signal IP and components, and support integration and characterization activities.

  • Design, simulate and characterize high-performance, high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits.
  • Research and implement optimal circuit architectures for target specifications.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to optimize post-extraction performance.
  • Document analysis and simulation results to demonstrate electrical and timing requirements and support pre-silicon verification flows.
  • Work with lab and system teams for circuit characterization and validation.
  • Create behavioral models for verification simulations and work closely with senior design engineers.

Requirements

Key technical and collaboration requirements. Items labelled "Nice-to-have" are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Must-have: Coursework or practical experience in CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Good knowledge of basic analog circuit design principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
  • Experience collaborating with layout and lab teams to meet post-layout and characterization goals.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Verilog-A or Verilog.

Education Requirements

MS in Electrical Engineering or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0. Relevant coursework or experience in CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design is expected.
