Role Summary

Design and verify analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for Synopsys' analog design team in Wuhan. The role focuses on transistor-level design, circuit simulation, and collaboration with layout, verification and system teams to deliver silicon-ready IP or ASIC blocks.

Work is onsite in the Wuhan office and involves debugging silicon, supporting tapeout activities, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities typically expected for this role include:

• Develop and optimize analog/mixed-signal circuits (amplifiers, biasing, PLLs, data converters, etc.).
• Create and run transistor-level simulations (SPICE) and analyze results to meet performance and reliability targets.
• Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure design-for-manufacturability and timing closure.
• Debug silicon issues, support silicon bring-up and characterization, and iterate on designs based on test results.
• Work with verification and system teams to integrate analog blocks into larger designs and support tapeout activities.

Requirements

• Must-have: Hands-on experience with analog or mixed-signal circuit design and transistor-level simulation (SPICE or equivalent).
• Must-have: Practical experience with schematic capture and working with layout teams; familiarity with common EDA tools (e.g., Cadence toolset).
• Must-have: Experience with silicon debug, measurement, and characterization.
• Nice-to-have: Scripting skills for automation and data analysis (Python, MATLAB) and experience with advanced process nodes.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with mixed-signal verification flows and system-level integration.
