Primary responsibilities include validating simulator features, executing test plans, and working with development teams to improve product quality.
- Define and execute test and quality plans for simulator features and analyses.
- Develop, execute, and automate validation test cases using SPICE and Verilog-A.
- Validate simulator accuracy, functionality, and performance on complex analog and mixed-signal designs (ADCs, PLLs, SerDes, VCOs, PAs, LNAs, mixers, high-speed I/Os).
- Monitor, benchmark, and report simulator performance; identify regressions and optimization opportunities.
- Design test scenarios and customer-based use cases to maximize coverage.
- Investigate, reproduce, and diagnose customer-reported issues and support defect resolution.
- Perform advanced analysis of customer designs, including those using leading-edge process nodes.
- Collaborate with developers and product engineers to qualify new technologies and enhance capabilities.
- Generate and maintain performance benchmarking data for internal and external communication.
- Advocate for end-users and design engineers by providing actionable product feedback.
Requirements
Must-have skills and desirable additional qualifications.
- Must-have: Practical experience in analog circuit design and use of commercial analog simulators.
- Must-have: Experience in RF analog circuit design and simulation.
- Must-have: Excellent command of English and strong presentation skills.
- Must-have: Ability to work effectively in a worldwide, multi-site development environment; self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with SPICE variants and Verilog-A modeling.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of a broad range of analog simulation analysis types and CAD concepts for analog simulators.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with QA methodology and development tools (version management, defect management, test coverage).
- Nice-to-have: Shell scripting, UNIX knowledge, and programming/development experience for test automation.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (stated requirement). The posting specifies an "Excellent or Very Good with Honors" standing. No alternative degrees or explicit "or equivalent experience" language was provided.
