Job Title

Analog Circuit Design Engineer (Staff)

Role Summary

Design and deliver DDR I/O and mixed-signal circuits for advanced CMOS products. Work on circuit architecture, simulation, layout reviews and post-layout analysis, and collaborate with digital, verification and layout teams to ensure manufacturable, standards-compliant designs.

Experience Level

Senior level. Typical experience: BTech + 5 years or MTech + 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on analog/mixed-signal DDR I/O circuit design, validation, and integration into ASIC flows.

  • Design and develop DDR I/O circuits meeting JEDEC and timing requirements.
  • Perform circuit simulations, pre- and post-layout analysis, and participate in layout reviews.
  • Integrate ESD protection and address deep-submicron process challenges.
  • Collaborate with digital, verification, validation, and layout teams to support testing, debugging, and integration.
  • Participate in design reviews and document design methodologies and results.
  • Contribute to ASIC design flows and manufacturability assessments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the team.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience for successful execution of the role.

  • Expertise in CMOS circuit design and layout methodology.
  • Experience with deep submicron process technologies.
  • Understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuitry and basic ESD concepts.
  • Familiarity with ASIC design flow and JEDEC DDR interface standards (DDR timing, ODT, SDRAM functionality).
  • Proficiency with circuit simulation tools and layout review processes.
  • Proven ability to execute assigned circuit design tasks to high quality and on schedule.
  • Nice-to-have: prior DDR I/O IP development experience, hands-on verification/debug collaboration, and experience driving design-for-manufacturability improvements.

Education Requirements

BTech (Bachelor of Technology) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MTech (Master of Technology) with 3+ years of relevant experience, in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline. No specific certifications were listed.
