Experience Level

Entry-level — Graduate intern for students currently pursuing an advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.). No specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include hands-on circuit design, analysis, and verification tasks:

  • Design, simulate, and verify analog and/or digital circuits to meet performance, power, and area targets.
  • Perform schematic entry, timing and noise analysis, and signal/power integrity checks.
  • Debug designs using hardware simulation and laboratory testing to validate functionality.
  • Use EDA tools for simulation, floorplanning, and clock-gating implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement low-power and high-performance solutions.
  • Apply semiconductor device knowledge to evaluate circuit trade-offs and optimizations.
  • Contribute to process and design-flow improvements and document results.

Requirements

Minimum and preferred qualifications relevant to the role. Degree and field details are summarized in the Education Requirements section below.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in analog and/or digital circuit design principles and fundamentals.
  • Practical experience with EDA tools for circuit simulation and verification.
  • Knowledge of CMOS technologies and microarchitecture fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with power and performance analysis and optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of signal and power integrity concepts and their impact on designs.
  • Ability to perform debugging, hardware simulation, and circuit testing.
  • Experience or exposure to floorplanning and clock gating using EDA flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, clear verbal and written communication, disciplined execution, and exposure to debugging complex hardware systems.
  • Note: This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Education Requirements

Must be actively pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
