Analog Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and verify analog and mixed-signal circuits and IP blocks for advanced process nodes. Work on transistor-level design, simulation, and cross-functional integration with architecture and layout teams to meet power, performance, area, timing, and yield targets.
Part of the analog/mixed-signal engineering team responsible for delivering production-ready IP for semiconductor products.
Experience Level
Mid-level β minimum 3 years of hands-on analog circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement analog circuits and mixed-signal IP at the transistor level in advanced process nodes.
- Create floorplans, run transistor-level simulations, extract chip parameters, and build behavioral models.
- Develop and execute test plans; analyze silicon and pre-silicon test results.
- Verify and optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, and yield (PPA).
- Investigate, track, and resolve circuit-level and performance issues; report status to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with architecture and layout teams to ensure robust electrical behavior and manufacturability.
- Reduce leakage, improve power efficiency, and enhance signal integrity across circuit types.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven experience designing transistor-level analog circuits in advanced process technologies.
- Deep understanding of analog circuit fundamentals, device physics, noise analysis, stability, and reliability.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with mixed-signal IP development and silicon bring-up.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
