Job Title

Analog Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits and IPs for advanced CMOS process nodes, with a focus on power delivery and power-management functionality. Work within a cross-functional engineering team to deliver silicon-ready designs that meet power, performance, area, timing, and yield targets.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical experience range: candidates commonly have 3+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years with a Master's, or are PhD-level entrants.

Responsibilities

Deliver circuit blocks from specification through post-layout verification and collaborate with architecture, layout, and validation teams.

  • Design, simulate, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits (amplifiers, LDOs, PLLs, ADCs, power-delivery blocks).
  • Perform floor-planning, layout-aware design, and extraction of chip parameters.
  • Run post-layout simulations with extracted parasitics and iterate designs to meet specifications.
  • Develop and execute test plans and validate circuits against microarchitecture requirements.
  • Analyze experimental test data and refine designs to improve performance, reduce leakage, and increase robustness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve design and integration issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools for successful performance in the role.

  • Proficiency in analog or mixed-signal circuit design and simulation for components such as amplifiers, LDOs, PLLs, and ADCs.
  • Practical experience with analog layout techniques: floor-planning, matching, shielding, and parasitic optimization.
  • Experience with industry-standard CAD/simulation tools, e.g. Cadence Spectre/AMS Designer/Virtuoso and StarRC.

Nice-to-have

  • Expertise in power delivery and power-management systems.
  • Hands-on experience taking designs from schematic to layout and silicon prototyping.
  • Familiarity with analog validation, debugging, and silicon bring-up methodologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience; or a PhD with no prior experience required. Fields explicitly mentioned: Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (related technical fields allowed). No specific certifications were listed.
