AMS Verification Engineer (RFIC Engineering)
Role Summary
Work on verification flows and full-chip mixed-signal simulations for in-house RFICs and RF-SoCs used in the Starlink system. Collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, validation, and test teams to develop, validate, and deliver next-generation RF/mixed-signal ASICs for space and ground infrastructure.
Experience Level
Entry-level — typically 1+ years of research or industry experience in integrated circuit design or verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building and running verification flows, creating models, and coordinating test plans across teams.
- Develop and own "analog-on-top" and "digital-on-top" full-chip verification flows for RFICs and RF-SoCs.
- Develop testbenches and flows to simulate critical interfaces between RFICs/SoCs.
- Create behavioral models of RF/analog/mixed-mode circuit blocks and integrate them into chip verification.
- Collaborate with designers to improve simulation speed and accuracy for mixed-signal IPs (PLLs, DACs, ADCs, etc.).
- Work with ATE test engineering to develop and prototype test plans.
- Set up and run EM/IR simulations as part of verification and sign-off.
Requirements

- Minimum 1+ years of research or industry experience in integrated circuit design or verification.
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as required to meet critical milestones.
- ITAR eligibility: must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with AMS simulation tools and mixed-signal verification flows, including annotated gate-level simulation within an AMS simulator.
- Experience with SystemVerilog, UVM, and Python for verification environments.
- Experience writing behavioral models for analog/mixed-mode IPs in Verilog-A/AMS.
- Practical understanding of analog building blocks (LDOs, bandgaps, DACs, ADCs, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, PLLs) and basic digital blocks (flip-flops, counters, serializers/deserializers).
- Familiarity with ATE testplan development and prototype test engineering.
Education Requirements
Posting specifies a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline as a basic qualification. A Master’s degree or PhD in an engineering discipline with emphasis in integrated circuit design/verification is listed as preferred.
