Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities in post-silicon bring-up, validation, debugging, and customer support.
- Bring up Alphawave mixed-signal IPs (SerDes/PHY) on customer platforms and in-house test chips.
- Support integration, validation, and production handoff for SerDes IP on SoCs.
- Drive technical communication with internal teams and external customers from silicon bring-up through production.
- Collaborate with architects, hardware designers, validation, firmware and software teams to define and implement solutions.
- Perform system-level debugging using in-house SW/FW diagnostics and tools.
- Use lab equipment occasionally (oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers) to analyze PHY performance.
- Occasional travel to support customers or labs as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Strong debugging skills for firmware and system-level bring-up.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with Python for scripting, test automation, and debugging.
- Experience in ASIC design, verification, or post-silicon validation for high-speed IP interfaces (UCIe, DDR, PCIe, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with lab instrumentation and protocol analyzers for PHY validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in fast-paced development environments.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
